We choose what we think is worth dying for on the quest of a hill for our cross. Worth more to us than our very own lives in the sacrifice of it’s loss. Loss of the life of our dignity, loss of the life of our pride. Loss of so much integrity we lose ourselves in the divide. Worth the sacrifice of our neighbors, our families and friends. Worth sacrificing the love you share to the fate of bitter ends. Carry on your quest my friend as you carry on your cross. A weight heavy bearing like needles and tearing at the back of each conscious thought. We choose what we think is worth dying for on the quest of a hill for our cross. Let us choose something that’s righteous indeed, lest the best of humanity lost. ~Jeannie Cronin
