I was sitting behind my organ in church this morning (20190210) contemplating the meaning of life and human existence.  I came up with this while listening to the sermons.  I may try to work this into a song, since I was trying to be consistent with syllable counts line by line.  The last grouping of five lines could be a chorus.

Higher Calling (20190210) Is there a reason for our existence? Are we part of some cosmic plan, Or just a random evolution That in English calls itself ‘Man’? Does Man have a higher calling? Are we just another animal, Possibly smarter than the rest, With no spark of divinity, No valid reason to be ‘the best’? Could Man have a higher calling? But think! What if we were created By a being that is on high— For some eternal purpose? Do we ponder the reasons why? Does each have a higher calling? What is your higher calling? What were you meant to do? What is your divine potential? What does God expect of you? Have you found your higher calling?

In quest of ultimate knowledge. You realise the physical is only a vehicle to journey the world, there are things beyond the physical. I have tried to answer the same question in my poem Self knowledge.
