Growing up in Denver, we stayed away from Littleton because there was a bad element living there. Evidently there is still bad workings going on there. Congrats, daver

Hi Janet, I suppose if one believes it was in the garden of Eden. Myself I know deep in my soul that we each have the capacity to create our own heaven or hell, and that the world needs more people like broken wings and Eileen to swing the balance. this is the truth of poetry.

This is a poem that seeks to find faith. The soul and heart are ready to believe, but the mind hesitates. Emile.

Hi Emile, I find peoples inhumanity incomprehensible, i could sooner understand the nature of a singularity than this. I do not know that my heart is moved by an omnipotent "god in heaven" who would choose to let such things happen. I know the argument of free will but that also does not wash. Unlike our friend broken wings I could never come to terms and find closure by being told god needed another angel. love Shane

Congratulations on your well deserved win! A powerful, mind riveting write, Shane. Some times the world feels so messed up. Beastly, cruel, and senseless. Unimaginably terrifying for these children. A while back I had written about the Dawson College shootings. I had also thought, "What demon has set this mad spell". Keep well, best wishes, Mikki

Thanks for calling in Mikki and for your kind words. I sometimes look through pictorials on the Vietnam war and cannot understand what was gained. Acts of random violence against small children is just beyond my undestanding. i have left you some mail the other day if you want to have a look see. Stay safe my friend. love Shane xxx

What a powerful write, Shane. So strong and so.....moving. Yes. A mother, a brother, a sister, a father is plunged into a living hell with the live of the loved one is cruelly taken away. Good for you for writing on this important theme.

Thank you for stopping to read my poem my enchantress. I value your comments. This is something I feel very deeply. Probably because I cannot understand why anyone would want to do harm to another. Let alone children. Love Shane xxx

Very pertinent questions Shane yet to be answered. We are chilled at strings of violence all over the world specially among teens and children. What's the end? Love>rajat

Thankyou Rajat for coming by, it is something that stays on my mind a lot. I do not understand mans inhumanity and to take the lives of innocent children just because they were present is Incomprehensible to me. No guns would stop the carnage in its tracks but that is just wishful thinking. Love Shane xxx

Powerful and sad, the truth stings, there is too much violence, but it needs to be said, and you said it well. Let's hope for a day without hell. Hugs xxx

Thanks for dropping in to read my poem. I wish I could see day without Hell. It will never happen unless people learn to love and not fear thy neighbour. Sounds simple to me and you but it is incomprehensible to far too many. Love Shane xxx
