Heart Thought Feelings
Fleeting thoughts fly through my head,
thoughts that scream out to be said.
They scream out loudly all the time,
in language born and bred in rhyme.
The rhyme inherent in it’s sound
bears sound with meaning so profound.
Profound enough to put in verse
for verse is always my thought’s curse.
A curse that shares my every day
as inner voices have their say.
These voices then encased in rhyme,
set down their feelings all the time.
For feelings are the truth in words
for words are simply nouns and verbs,
connected simply by our heart
as heart lets our true thoughts depart.
