Hearken
Hearken to my song, my tale
My story swift, and true;
I will utter only once.
‘Neath skies of azure blue
I seek the science of the mind;
The study of the same.
In aspects of unspoken grace,
My future I will claim.
My morals are of adamant,
My will of steel and iron,
And still, I speak no faithless word,
Lest restless are my sires.
From fingers quick I sing a song;
They dance across the frets.
And paint away my sorrows gray,
‘Neath moon and star sets.
Feet hastening over the grass
I seek to self improve
Pushing myself past my limit
This is the pain I choose
Try and you will fail to find
A truer soul than I
In word and deed, I follow creed
‘Neath azure autumn skies
