Happy Father's Day To My Late Son Rob

Happy Father’s Day to my Late Son Rob My son, my sweet son, you now are at rest. Of all fathers my son, you were the best! Your son emulates you the best he can. You taught him how to become a great man. Almost twenty years you shared with your wife, With family love you lived a great life. Organs you donate will help others live, A legacy you unselfishly give. I am proud of you son, as you take part, Some fortunate soul will live with your heart. You tried to live and put up a great fight. As you depart and go into the light, Your sisters will miss you, you helped each one. You were a great brother, my precious son. You were only with us forty four years. You’ll be remembered with love not our tears. June 1, 2021 I wish all you Father’s a very Happy Father’s Day! *This poem was written for my late son Rob who had a severe stroke and was pronounced brain dead on May 29, 2021. He saved over 6 lives by donating his organs. Rob leaves behind my eleven year old grandson Brody, and his wife Akiko. I want to thank each of you who prayed for my son to recover. Thank you all for your kind condolences. The love sent from my poetic family has helped me greatly.

This gave me mixed feeling Strength derived from the good memories left by a late son. U must have forged him into a great man, which he replicated in his son. Great work you did ??

He is missed by all of us. Not a day goes by without thoughts of him and my late husband who died less than a year before him. Thank you very much. Blessings xxoo

By donating his organs, isn't he still alive? Hats off to your son, for, he knows how to live and love after breathing his last. Remember him, not with tears but with pride!! He is a sunshine to many!

Yes, I know how grateful I would be if it were the other way around and my son was dying and someone donated an organ to keep him alive, so those thoughts stay with me. Thank you Swetha. A blind man can see and they took his bone marrow. They even took his blood as he was not vaccinated. I appreciate your sweet comment. Blessings xxoo

My dear friend, tragedy has entered your life- I pray that God's mercy and love sustains you through these dark times. Sometimes it seems the whole world falls on our shoulders- prayer and faith are the only things that can aid us then-save us then. May God bless you abundantly and gift you peace..

Nothing can be said to fill this void, for it can only be filled with other love. Loss of a child must be a great loss but losing one so obviously kind is resounding to the collective. In a odd way, it can pull ones closer together. There is goodness in this world. Thanks for this piece Connie, there is much to reflect on.

Connie, you are so brave, the best wife and mother any husband or son could ever wish to have and it is with great sadness that I read your loving poem to your late beloved son. Why we lost touch why I do not know, but this I do know he is the brightest star in the moonlit sky. My love and best wishes to you Connie my friend. Jennifer

Beautifully worded, dear Connie, and a fitting tribute to your son. Though you have been through so much, your words focus on the positive and uplifting elements; his gifts of vital organs, his love for his family, and his son walking in his footsteps. Blessings to you ~ John

Dear Ms. Connie, I am deeply saddened to hear of so many personal and overwhelming tragedies that you have had to weather. I am not always attune to what is going on with other souper's and saw your recent request for prayers which I will heed. God Bless you and yours. Nancy

Dear Connie, I am still wiping the tears from my eyes. I just want to wrap you in a blanket of love. Right now, I am finding it very hard to express in words what I want to say to you.

Your words prove the love we moms have for our children. Age does not matter nor does the fact that your son is no longer with you. My prayers are also with you and your family. (I know this pride. I too lost a son)

Oh Connie, I am so sorry. A parent should never have to see their child die. My sisters daughter died a month ago she was only 42. My sister is devastated I have no words to console her but just to be there to listen. Now you are also in my deepest thoughts Connie, you have always been so kind to me here . RIP to your dear son.
