Handsome Beauty
Handsome beauty faded beneath the hot Australian sun.
Heart hardened it laugh's no more.
He reaches for that dam bottle once innocent.
Health rattles cough deepens sad habits fill his life.
Help over as no one dares to come.
Home burns with rancid stench, his will is lost.
Handsome beauty he tries everything to forget.
Harsh daylight strikes he stumbles the shower runs.
Heaving forward he falls and hits his pounding head.
Half hour past the fog begins to clear, no work today.
Hot endless days, a half smoked cigarette same bottle starts again.
Handsome beauty fades.
