Halloween Girlfriend
Halloween Girlfriend
She looked up to me;
her with surprise at myself, she
did not expect to see.
Yet she was there,
hoping to with me be.
Not that I knew the girl.
Nor did I expect children
from behind her dress unfurl.
I was taken by her look,
her eyes spoke the word fertile.
Her excuse was candy for the tots.
But she really wanted one in her pot.
Can't linger; take two each kids,
for love towards her forbids.
How odd strangers act out.
But I'll always remember the look on her face,
as she timidly lifted her gaze with such taste.
Knowing momentarily now she could really see
how her destiny wished things to be.
And if I could take another it would be she
but alas there is only so much of me.
