Very cute. I'd say George might answer to the name of 'King,' given his cuisine preferences. Cheers, Gershon

So happy you enjoyed this one, Harry: I must try to do more humor……not my easiest genre to pull off. Keep smiling, SuZ

Only the best--he is quite smart and gets what he asks for. For love unconditional--steak it is! A winning poem, SuZ.

Hi Vijay: So glad you like George. He has a nose for steak LOL SuZ

Love the pic, SuZ, and the rest of the piece as well. George is obviously a canine of exceptional taste. I must say, however, that this is not exactly a limerick. Lims have only five lines. Maybe you could call it a limerick wannabe.

I agree, Jim: I rattled this off in a hurry, I was going to write the last two lines as one but it seems too long. Maybe some day I will revise i. We’ll have a new genre….. Limerick social climbers LOL

I love that name for a dog! I have a shepherd named Sherman and he is not particular, he will eat whatever's in his bowl~

Thanks Michelle: I like Sherman in that it rhymes with German LOl and also reminds me of General Sherman. SuZ

I will check out Roberts poems but right now I am loving yours. We once had a lab that would only eat cooked meat, nothing raw, not even a bone, hence he never got bones. George sounds very Regal. I adore your limerick

Who could blame the German Shepherd dog George - For insisting on his daily awards - He is man’s best friend - Up to his life’s end - And deserves the best his friend can afford… Belle

That’s cute. Daniel: My little Maltese gets ground turkey, rice and lentils, sweet potato and peas. At 13 YO he jumps around like a pup. SuZ
