First things first...

Do guns kill, or people? Which came first? --The chicken or the egg? Why waste breath? Secure the schools!

And thank YOU, Jan, for having the courage to respond to this message...(It may not be p.c., "Shhh, don't tell / Then there'd be two of us..." ala Emily Dickinson's "I'm Nobody; Who are You?) :-) Gershon

Hello Gershon, I enjoyed your Cinquain here. I certainly agree with Line Gauthier. To alter this sad state of affairs in the USA requires that people must speak up. Recommend, if you have time, take a read of a poem I posted on February 18th on this topic. (It's entitled: "Evil, Guns, Cowardice, Stupidity, and Fear"). I actually dedicated this poem to the Class at Stoneman Douglas High School and sent them a copy of it with a sincere condolence letter. Change must occur now!! Best Wishes, Gary

Speechless at this state of affairs. But people must speak up. Well done, Gershon.

Thanks. I agree with you, obviously; my wife didn't care for it. She liked the other two though (A Nation Divided and Tucked Away Safely)...At any rate, I'm one with the message. Let's prevent the tragedies first. Life is of the essence here; not politics and preening. Hope so, anyway. :) Gershon
