Grim
Touch my hand
I will not speak
Don’t take that step
I will not peak
Don’t hold your breath
There is no cause
But that of my love
Strife
The loss of a life
Step back
Don’t take it
Don’t take a leap
Of faith or lack there off
The road ends here
There lies a cliff, below resides the Grim
Call out as you drift into the dim
Look at me and tell if you see Him, that Grim
Lift your chin high
Show him nothing but your determination
Show him your silhouette as you walk back into my sunlight
Arch your gold flecked wings
Let Him, that darkness that haunts your footsteps, writhe in jealousy
Make this step be heard
Leave a track of broken hearts and shattered dreams
Be the cause and not the excuse
You’re not lost, you are found
You’re not loved, you are dreamt
You’re not hated, you are unnoticed
Don’t see Him smile, He isn’t there
That grim that you carry
Share it with me, I can take a burden
My words will weave a bottomless basket for your distress
Share a smile, maybe a laugh, share a sign, maybe be kiss
Give me that basket
Carry this heart
Please, don’t break it, please don’t take it, hide it, it’s yours
Don’t take that step
Touch my hand
I promise, I’m not Him
That grim.
