Gnosis

Passions fight within us, Raging Writhing They become obsessions. They must be caged Else they get loose and become hazards. In grasping life’s secret imagine a god Whose likeness can mingle in the worlds within a man Like sweetness in honey, spread through Till neither exists on its own: neither god nor man.
