"Darkness may hide the trees and flowers from the eyes, but it cannot hide love from the soul." Rumi gnarled, giant twisted roots connect the family tree.... so much dysfunction removed, rescued child gnarled roots dangle hanging on.... before love showed way an empty effect deep within the soul that last.... until dawn cracked a longing for love which appears at first light one day.... Holy Spirit filled the soul

Sounds dramatic. Well it is as you say Love will find a way.

Yes, Love finds a way, TS. It was dramatic and traumatic, but God so loved. The Bible tells us, God is love because love is of God found in 1 John 4:8. Thanks for your visit and nice review of my work. Sara

Oh dear Sara, this is a really deep and thought provoking write which shows how darkness may fade every ray of light that might appear but it can never distinguish the light that shines from within.. No matter how dense the clouds of confusion and sadness maybe, but its only a matter of time, until "until dawn cracks a longing for love" As you've described.. A beautiful poem.. Best of luck for the contest!
