Glory Daze
Glory Daze
My mind goes racing back in time
I see my former ways.
Like some old fashioned love sick rhyme
I see my glory daze.
Writing notes cause I'm too shy
oh how much did I miss?
I couldn't look you in the eye
I'm frightened by your kiss.
Getting older so much bolder
love poems in the sand.
Someday I might even hold her
for now I'll hold her hand.
Love sick blues it's nothing new
no one out there could see.
All the things I put me through
or what she sees in me.
Kissing lips hands on her hips
I took her to the dance.
I'm in shock, hear my knees knock
I'm frightened by romance.
I'm not too proud to laugh out loud
at all my younger ways.
Stuck in class this too shall pass
along with glory daze.
