Gifted Believers
“10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. ” 1 Peter 4:10-11 NIV
The Holy Spirit calls us to ministry
And equips us as well.
He gives us gifts to witness
And of God’s love to tell.
He sends us out for ministry
And equips us for each task.
He is our Helper sent by Christ;
All we need do is ask.
Gifted Believers have a mission
To teach, prophesy or heal;
Will be given affirmation from fellow servants;
Their gifts heaven desires to reveal.
In the work of spreading the Gospel,
Each believer must be involved.
Nurturing is just as important,
As preaching or administration problems solved.
Spiritual gifts are distributed by the Holy Spirit,
As he sees these gifts required.
Self is not involved in the decision-making,
And the choice cannot be aspired.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal,
The gifts you have been given.
He’ll equip you to use them
To swell the courts of heaven.
Gifted Believers are to spread the gospel;
Depend upon the Holy Spirit;
Be equipped by faith for the ministry—
God’s power and glory to admit.
The glorification of our Father
And His amazing love
Is what draws each stranger
To desire a home in heaven above.
