From Doing Nothing
From doing nothing, suddenly
My days are getting filled
With plans like those which Covid
Did delay or outright killed.
I’m constantly reminded
That my age will soon prevent
Travel to the many places
Where, in fantasies, I went.
So for now, while I’m still able,
It’s the time to set in place
Trips once written on my calendar
I was afraid to face.
I remain a little nervous,
Just in case you couldn’t tell,
But we only have one life to live
So I say, what the hell!
