From a Father To Be
I grew up without a father,
never dealing with it inside
only getting used to the absence
bt the lack did not subside.
i never learnt to fix whats broken
never learnt to be a man
never learnt to swim or sail
never thought i really can.
My father left me only fear
that i was now incompetent
to be the father he was not
to have a child, im hesitant.
But still hope withers not away
that i could be so blessed one day
to hold a gift given by God
and live to have a family.
My father left me only fear
that i might abandon my own
but children i hold very dear
and wish they not be left alone,
to fend for themselves without the guide
but have a father to be shown.
To those who, appreciate
your fathers heart, its not too late
this day is just a reminder,
that those who have fathers
life treated kinder.
