From a Child

Something’s wild in the woods tonight— Something crisp in the breeze. There’s some sweet scent in the shadows. Hundreds of creatures, hiding out with eyes and ears wide open. It seems to me that the forest itself, young and true, yet ages old, Is hovering here and everywhere in a long, black, sparkling cloak.

Lovely to be in tune with the wonders of nature’s renewal. There is a study about how trees communicate.....so interesting. SuZ. https://e360.yale.edu/features/exploring_how_and_why_trees_talk_to_each_other.

There is something eerie about the woods at night and yet there is something beautiful about it too ... You've captured it all in such a wonderful way with this poem ... So well done, Carol!

Trees have a divine energy that is shared with those who can hear their whispers and feel their wondrous gifts. I love your poem Carol! : )
