Friendship
Even though they are not near,
They’re never far away;
And all it takes is a phone call,
To help brighten up my day;
A call to see how I’m doing,
Since we haven’t talked in a while;
And no matter how far apart they are,
They always make me smile;
I’m terrible at trying to keep in touch,
With the friends I don’t deserve;
And I’m sure that they are unaware,
Of the place in my heart they reserve;
And this is just to let them know,
I’m here awaiting their call;
So I can tell them exactly,
How much I love them all.
