Friends
If you do not have a hand to lend,
Or a back that's strong and ready to bend.
If your words are harsh and won't defend.
And your life's a message, no one would send.
Then hold up a finger, you have one friend.
If you think of yourself through out the day,
And you get what you want while others pay.
Your skies seem blue, but, around you is gray.
Your life has been molded with muddied clay,
Then your mirror reflects your friends today.
BUT
If your smile reflects on every man.
Someone needs help, so you offer a hand.
If you're willing to say, "I understand."
You give your time when it wasn't planned.
Then you've got friends, and life is grand.
