Freedom
sounds sweet,
free as air;
thrills as birds spin,
fly, dive, and chirp,
eyes up the bald blue.
Freedom thrills fish
in the sea, they
flip fins and swim,
sip and drink and gulp;
trim, flowing with tide.
Freedom!
That’s mine:
first in my spirit,
then in my heart:
freedom in my world.
I’m free as air in Christ;
free in the Spirit,
free from sin,
free from Satan’s
threat of death.
Free to live, a child of God—
to live by grace and truth.
Free to live for Christ alone
who, for free died for me
so I'm free to finish my course.
I'm free from the world,
free from self;
free with the freedom
flowIng from Christ—
freedom, prized and rare.
