Forget Me Not

Forget me not when day is done as darkness falls with setting sun and April moon is on the rise reflecting midnight’s soft reprise. And when you crawl into your bed and ‘pon your pillow lay your head, please think of me as sleep arrives for in my dreams a longing thrives. My distant whispers call your name; my love for you my words proclaim as stardust rains from up above, and beckons you to share this love. I wonder if you think of me as peaceful slumber sets you free when darkness falls with setting sun, forget me not when day is done. April 3, 2022
