For Jeanne Marie

Oh god was quick; so were we to come so unexpectedly. In final sleep we held your hand; wept shocked tears in neverland. Awakened, you to daylight, how cruel his sun so bright, to darken day before the moon, before was quite not afternoon. ©Kathryn McLoughlin Collins October 10, 2012

Your final two lines are so powerful, and your first verse the work of a brilliant poet... God bless, Keith

Hi Kathryn - You write about this sad experience in such a sensitive and beautiful way. I agree that sometimes, depending upon what is going on in our lives, that what is usually seen as a positive like sun - feels like a cruel joke. - Gail

Thanks so much for your kind comment on my latest....we have much in common...lost my only son at age 21 in 2001 at the hands of a drunk driver...nothing worse than losing a child...it's backwards...we're supposed to go before them...have a good day, my friend - Tim

So sad yet so beautiful....please forgive my assumption but this sounds very much like the loss of a child...have a wonderful evening, Kathyn - Tim
