Foolish

Holding on to empty hopes, figuring out ways to cope, sadness playing on the strings while the jesters sorrow sings. Foolish am I for holding on so, foolish for thoughts of letting go, oh I lost happy a long time ago, where am I, I just don't know. Waiting for midnight to drown me, gazing at the galaxies that astound me, I'm just a little bit afraid of the dark and the sound of my breaking heart. Foolish am I for holding on so Foolish for the thoughts of letting go, oh I lost happy a long time ago where am I, I just don't know I'm sorry I am so afraid dreading mistakes I haven't made, doubting myself, doubting wisdom Into the darkness here I come Foolish steps I keep on taking, cracks of glass I hear when I'm waking it's not only my heart I'm breaking Foolish am I for holding on so foolish for the letting go, oh I'm that fool that you know... just let me go. 7-18-18

If the world let go of their empty hopes, where would we be? Sometimes they are revived, alive and better than ever! A nice read, Casarah.

Life is a balance of holing on and letting go... never an easy decision though..
