Fly Nursery Rhyme

Don’t ask me why a pesky fly comes by Whenever I sit down to have a meal And she stays staring at each bite I take As if she wants to say let’s make a deal To let her sample then make up her mind While lips she licks and then with tears implore To my obliging sentimental heart Until, like Ollie Twist, she asks for more. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Nursery Rhyme Contest Sponsored by Eve Roper Placed 1st © 24th February 2023 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Hi Paul, Most of us wish that flies would just leave us be, but they are just trying to survive. What a fun and unique perspective you have. You may enjoy reading my poem, "Mother Nature's Favorite Son."

Paul, shalom shalom dear Sir. Congrats! I enjoyed second visit here. Your non - judgmentalness finds us this polite fly. My flies never ask ...they buzz me, grab & circle again like vultures.

Congratulations on your win. A fun write. I hate flies when I am eating. I tell them to go away. Most times they will not leave. Have a blessed day/week...............

Now there's a nursery rhyme. Easy for kids to say and learn. Endearing children to flies is a hard task and you achieved it. Very nice Paul. A worthy winner.

Wonderful Paul. By God's grace, despite pesky insects, we are still here. Writing away, with light, humour, & weight of words. Thank you Sir. Eireene
