Fishing Trip
I woke real early this morning
in a glorious, wonderful mood.
Went outside and hooked up my boat
to try and catch me some food.
Got to the lake and pulled out my bait.
The kind that live in a can.
Fun to use,cheap to buy
and fed a many of man.
So now I sit here and wait
to see what nature may bring.
I may go home still hungry
or I might just fill up my string.
All of a sudden it's happening
that heart pounding, hand shaking sign.
When one who's fishing has realized
there's a fish on the end of their line.
I've been catching these fish for hours
and I have never been one to gloat,
but on this glorious, wonderful day
man, I loaded the boat!
