Shame their life is so brief, like the flying ants, also a brief time on Earth. Magical words make this a magical poem. Hugs and kisses, Jennifer

Michelle, what beautiful, bright images! Each line is a gem of light portrayed like a summer night photograph. I really like your last line. So charming and so touching. Blessings and all the best dear friend.

Michelle, I was just about ready to start telling you how much I loved the line "sequin flecked lacy twilight" (I still do!) and was going to tell you it was my favorite line, but then I saw how awesome your ending is. I could see it as a book title or (sorry for sounding so morose) on a headstone. Just where my mind goes, I suppose, but you have a talent for shining the profound on the mundane. As a side note, I have never seen a firefly... apparently they don't exist at my latitude. They seem quite magical to me. Going in my faves ~ John

I guess they are not native to San Diego (I actually can't remember seeing them in person, mostly just photographs and movies) and I will gladly take the compliment :) Hope you are having a good week~

'lacy twilight' really does it for me, Michelle. Intricate patterns require a special kind of poetic detection. ~ Light and Illumination, Gershon

the briefer the light the more amazing the magic is, dear Michelle. Thank you for the mind lift today, I needed that, have a great day hugs xo

Yes, they are like stars twinkling in jars, but why do people put them in jars? The first "snow globe"? Aloha!
