Thank you, Carmael. Maybe my acronym for fear will help you as much as it has helped me: False Evidence Appearing Real. I appreciate your comments, nice to 'meet you'. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

I am totally convinced that one of my favourite poets, the late, great, Ezra Pound, would have held this cracking little Monoku in high regard, CayCay...beautifully conceived. My very best regards! :) john

Hi CayCay...apart from all the comments posted below, I think that some people prefer to make do with what they have, fearful of what lies in wait once they emerge from that comfort zone (which on second thoughts is not comforting at all!). ~ Congratulations on your lovely win. Regards // paul

The words of Bette Midlers The Rose in one beautiful monoku. Anybody got a compass?

No compass. I'm a freefaller, that's how I got lost and found. It's a complicated thing, I tell you! Love ... CayCay

Oh very deep and insightful CayCay. It's when you're lost, that you discover what you're really made of.. Your Monoku has made me linger to reflect and I think there is much sage truth in your words here. A beautiful and astute write my profound and lovely friend.. Hugs and love ~Susan

When I got lost, I found out how breakable I was and in that break were pain glimpses of what I needed to feel and fertilize my intended fulfillment. So I found out I sucked at alone, then Tim came along carrying all the things I had glimpsed. God is good. So is reading your comments, always uplifting and rewarding. Thank you, dear. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Much truth here! (and during the holidays will you help find me because I tend to get completely lost in mall parking lots) But seriously, this is very true. For a woman, we have to get to fuzzy robe and slippers all day, depression setting in, hair a three day mess, before we "wake up" and search for our true selves.

Heck, yes - I could have a panic attack in a parking lot. Don't forget the fuzzy robe will probably have residue bits of this and that all over it and you can't stand the Hallmark channel because everything works out perfectly, we could really get into this, eh? Glad we giggle over something quite painful, storm clear in the present, and it seems you are, too! Hugs ... CayCay

It is true, in my view most people, including me, have too much fear to let go that their full self may be revealed. Isn't easy, at all! But, just like getting up, you have to fall first. I got you thinking and laughing yesterday, my work is done! Love teasing with you, Alexis. Again, Merry Christmas ... CayCay
