Core Standards of Reasoning Diagram

Can it be found if it’s not lost? Is there value, without a cost? I’m sure the answers must be yes, How can I explain to you best? First love I found, but ‘twas not lost. A smile appears without a cost. Both simple answers I confess, But it was just a simple test. How do we know we have enough? No more need for any more stuff. When there’s enough to meet all need, Some lack enough because of greed. What you say, is the solution? Fairness in the distribution.

Hey Bill, I like how your sonnet offers a nuanced perspective on the pursuit of fulfillment and the importance of fairness in the distribution of resources. It invites readers to ponder timeless questions about the nature of happiness and the ethics of societal organization, leaving them with a sense of introspection and contemplation long after the poem has ended.

I'm thankful for those that read and contemplate on these topics, my friend. There's something wrong in a world so blessed with resources that still allows death by hunger and lack of shelter. We're doing it wrong! Thanks for your meaningful comments, Silent One. I'm still trying to deal with my emotions after reading your last poem and listening to "Fix It". Awesome poetry! Have a great weekend! Bill

Another poem from you my friend dwelling in words of wisdom: How do we know we have enough? No more need for any more stuff. When there’s enough to meet all need, Some lack enough because of greed. So true and well said! A FAVE!

Good common sense helps, Kim. The world can have too much influence on us with all the advertisements and peer pressure. Bad habits can take over. We have to be careful who and what we allow to have influence over us. Thanks for reading and commenting on my poetry, my friend. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

I love how you structure your Sonnets...the questions at the beginning followed with contemplative lines. I especially liked, "How do we know we have enough?" Lacking is a perception of the mind, perpetrated by greed. Well said and wise words this evening, dear hubby, hugs again, me
