Everything We Need

There can be love in this world Though it is invisible. Floating softly through the air Like a feather, Cannot be tethered. Without love, what would we be? A few billion animals, that’s all anyone would see. All that’s left of what we used to know, Floating through the air like invisible snow. There can be joy in this world, Though the world is dark. The sounds of laughter flowing, Through the air they’re blowing. Without joy, what would we be? A few billion crying, Dying Sad people. We need these sounds of laughter, Of joy and play and chatter. There can be hope in this world, Though all will try to bring us down, Telling us,”You can’t, you won’t, you’ll mess it up.” But we never can believe that junk. We can do it all, Even if there’s a 20-mile wall. Just believe and then, That wall will fall, You can do it all, We need this hope.
