Warmth and passion through the air Emanating glow Garlands flying everywhere Sparkling through the snow Cherry pie and candy canes Sugarplums in the mist Elves are working day and night Santa checks his list Children's fingers sticking tightly From the candy treats Heat flickers through the fireplace Carolers warm their feet Snowmen beckon lightly Urging snow ball fights to begin Families make snow angels As do cherished friends Egg nog swirling in the cups While we sit to rest Christmas carols playing Add magic to our fest Christmas trees have spread their arms In all majesty Tinsel fall like tear drops Angels sing in glee We have found our haven In this blessed time Miracles await us As Christmas is divine For the "Christmas Story" contest Date: December 12, 2017
