Enchanted
I heard a lovely note
One early day in June
I listened quietly
For sure it had a tune
The moment was so brief
I hardly knew I heard
Was it but a feather
The wind had lightly stirred?
The sound was as a hymn
That wafted on a breeze
Enchanted as a child
I longed for it to see
My footsteps led me on
My heart, too, knew the way
‘Twas not so very far
Just minutes in a day
That found me standing
In your garden way
Hovering at the flower
Just blossoming today –
