Only because I want more. are they (the egg) just off the dance floor waiting for a partner so to speak (the sperm?) or what is going on? Nice mystery though, empty nest, menopause, going without partnership it all works. take care.

So few well selected words, so much to ponder. As to composition... I love the equally weighted verses, and the 'rues...fruitless' assonance. This poem packs a devastatingly powerful emotional punch. Well done Kathy! Love Keith

Thank you Keith. Your comments are as elegant as your poetry. It is such a delight to know you have taken the time so see detail of which I am often unaware (and always positive - setting me purring). Please let me know when I'm off the mark or when you see room for improvement. love, Kathy
