Emptiness

A new adventure is what I need, From this mundane little life I lead, But dead end paths to what I seek, Make quest seemed bleak and weak, Tireless screams that can't be heard, Hammered in my head, until it hurts, Dark roads ahead, empty as a desert, Clawing cluelessly into sands of dirt, A helping hand is what I need, But I have none guiding my trip, I wish for a purpose to sow my deed, That special fuel to sail off my ship, May be it was me who didn't see, What I should cherish in times of glee, Belittling glories that seemed puny, Punished now with nothing to carry, Lesson learnt, wisdom earned, A chance at life is what I yearn, I'll give it meaning, not let it burn, A grateful song I promise to churn.
