Earth

When I made first steps On this earth It felt shaky But definitely flat Then I was told that Actually, it is round I did not believe it For a moment, but doubt Slowly started eating Me from inside out So, I tried to walk far Outside the city limits I climbed mountains Reaching shiny stars On the line of horizon To find out if I can see The oval edge of the Earth slowly raising I swam the oceans And crawled terrains No matter what I did It felt flat to me Then one day I was told That the whole earth Is spinning around It’s axis all the time And I was baffled again I looked at the sky To see if there is any Faint echoing sign Reflecting the earth's Constant movement around All I saw was a stationary sky With the same constellations Spread uniformely every night Then again I was told That the earth was born In a big bang when a tiny spot Smaller than a pin dot Exploded violently in an instant Becoming the whole universe With a little insignificant ball Named planet earth In the outskirts of forever Expanding universe I grew up puzzled with all these Complexities and mysteries And still don’t know If I believe any of this Any time I walk Earth feels flat to me And I don’t feel the speed Of spinning around Cosmic infinity And the big bang While very enticing Sounds like a fairy tale To me
