Early Spring

Assorted spring flowers, naked, rise in morning sun Breaking through a thin blanket of snow, earth spun. Cascades of dainty narcissus smile with golden faces Drinking up the sun as morning warmth embraces. 3-6-20 Stanza taken from my poem Wealth of Spring Contest Rithimus Divisa 2 Sponsor: Gregory Barden

Hi Connie, Spring, the world is coming to life once more, after its winter sleep. I love the content of this wonderful write. It brings to life, wonderful images of light as I read each line. You have captured Spring in this wonderful write. You know how to give your subject life, Connie. Have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs....Mike. XX

Happy Spring, dear Connie! I see this has "sprung" from an abecedarian poem. It stands alone as a beautiful single rose. "Drinking up the sun as morning warmth embraces" Hugs/John

Spring, by the way, feels like it has arrived to Utah. What about Hawaii? People are going mad buying up TP and water here. Give me a break!

this is a little gem taken from a poem called Wealth of spring!! I agree with you, Connie. I really wish his contest were standard. There are too many good entries. I could never deal with the stress of judging it.

Connie, and a lovely stanza it is too. Spring is not really here yet in Ottawa Canada, we get one Spring day and then a snowstorm day, this is not progress, but I have started seedlings inside and I noticed today two have sprouted_Constance

Thank you very much Eileen. I hope you are well and not in danger of contracting the Corona virus. The islands only have one case so far which is kind of miraculous. I am celebrating my two month early preemie g.daughter weighing three pounds as of yesterday! She is two weeks old today. xxoo

Thank you John. I marvel at how flowers can push their way up through the snow, though that will never happen here in the tropics. : ) xxoo
