Don'T Look Down
My dear friend
You looked to me to seek advice
Even though you knew
I wouldn't stand for vice
Look me in the eye when I'm talking to you
Don't behave like a wayward child
Because chances are
They always find their way home
And you wouldn't know that
Walking the line
I know you're scared
Don't exaggerate
Close those eyes
Be at peace
Remember the days of the old
Not the times of suffering
Not today
You can't always let negativity motivate
Sometimes you might lose track
You might just be like them
Precious child
Remember those lovely summers
You would run so freely
So I'm reminding you
You can step now
One at a time
Make your move
One step at a time
Very Carefully
Just walk the line
And don't ever let nothing distract you
Especially what's downward
Don't look down
Just don't look down
Save your fears for after the finish line
But when walking the line
Don't look down
Not for too long
