SNICKERS, WHO DIED LAST SPRING:

OUR NEW DOG LUCY LOO

May be an image of dog

We had a dog that was so dear to us. He died in April of the year before. He was so faithful and he did not fuss like some dogs do. I couldn’t love him more than how I loved that darling pet of ours. He liked to be with us, and mostly all he did was lay around with us for hours. He wasn’t very great at playing ball, but he sure liked his walks and times to eat. I loved to pet him while I watched TV and give to him a tasty doggy treat. That dog was almost like a son to me. A new dog we've now got. I hope to say I’ll love this new dog just as much one day. I have had a harder time coping with animal deaths than most people Andrea - I'm not sure what that says about me. :) Congratulations on your win! :)

I may be the same, at least involving my own animals. it's because we are constantly with them, An uncle I have not seen in 50 years will not affect me as greatly as a dog I have been with for ten years straight.

She is really sweet but she wants attention now and always dog caring falls on ME and not on the MAN who insists we keep getting a dog. Mama Mia.

I thought sonnets were broken into 4 line stanzas, this is a little different at least in format. That dog looks curious. I am sure you will have fun with your new dog.

usually sonnets are not broken up but sometimes I do it, sometimes not. By curious I hope you don't mean strange. hahaha.

I always like Sonnets, and yours was a good one. Remembering the pets that have passed is easy, we see the things they liked everyday. Simple animals they are loving and faithful to their caregivers. You seem to love animals, a good sign that you're a caring person. Nice to catch up a little on your poetry now that I've returned. :-) Have a happy day my friend. Bill

Thought you would write about your dog. Can't afford to take care of one. It would mean I would not write more poems. Hugs.
