Desperate Hope

In desperate hours, when shadows cling tight, Hope flickers bravely, a fragile light. Through this or that, uncertain terrain, Desperate hope, a beacon in the rain. A silent plea in the darkest scope, In desperate hope, we find the rope. A slender thread amid life's slope, Guiding us through this or that, we cope.

A poem of hope to me, my friend. If we look / search for meaning in the things around us, we find both meanings of life and wisdom. Thanks for sharing that thread of hope that will help each of us cope. Purposeful poetry, Jay. Thanks, Bill

I found your rendition of 'desperate hope' one of the best poems I've read on the topic. Your imagery captured the feeling so eloquently. I especially liked ... desperate hope, a beacon in the rain and a slender thread amid life's slope. Have to fave this one. Have a splendid evening, Sara
