Deluge
A deluge was in that first drop that fell
Water from the heavens to wash away the hell.
Raindrops beyond number, as many as the stars
Each one adding to the other, as rising water starts.
A deluge laid waiting in the depths of the ground
Water from below to turn the world around.
Beckoned to the surface of the plains and mountains
Answering the call, bursting forth as fountains.
Rain from above and fountains from below
Promised to a man who tried to let others know,
Mankind's rebellion was so huge
all but eight would be washed away
By judgements deluge.
From day one's droplets and spraying fountains
To forty days later and a water wrapped creation.
All is gone but for a few, a deluge
washed this world anew.
