December's Almost Gone
December’s almost gone.
It seems less than a year
since twenty-three began,
when I reviewed my life
and formed a new-year’s plan.
December’s almost gone.
My lovely Christmas tree
must soon be stored away
along with all the cards
arranged here on display.
December’s almost gone.
As Christmas carols fade,
new music fills the air.
My resolutions planned
are simple. These, I’ll share.
December’s almost gone.
My vows are within reach.
I’ll help the needy more
and spend more time in prayer
in twenty-twenty-four.
