Death of a Dream

Non existent are the dreams and the hopes and the lovers So tear at my flesh and devour my essence and you will surely choke on my soul! The trueness of this believer's flesh will burn in the belly of a demon! And my dreams will set his eyes on fire and my hopes will explode inside of him! So damn the lot of you! Death is but a dream to me The fire of my passions will blaze the very ground I lay in The dream refuses the death... and the dreamer to awaken

Roger on that youth. : ) More of such a passion "should be" then, in my opinion, versus later in life. Nay, not that one in any way must then give if up, yet for most of us there are changes, likely a good thing.

Thanks so much Doug for reading this one...I think it is good for me to have writing as an outlet. I still feel the same fiery passions as when I was younger, but you are right, experience teaches us to better control the flames...just learn to smolder:)

As if it is being commanded from a rock outcropping overlooking the enemy as they flee in fear. This was amazing, I could see this unfold in my mind as I read today. Very dark and powerful. I really enjoyed this Chris.

I'm impressed by this emotional outburst, Chris! Strong words, defiant, and resistant. I dare not imagine the fire of your passion! ~ Regards // paul
