David, I decided to visit one of your older poems and so happy I did, your haiku is beautiful and profound, yes death can strike without notice and does to many and thanks for visiting beyond the billowing . . .

Yes, I am 54 years old and I can still remember the day! Many life lessons . . . hopefully after the grief passes, you will be able to explore these lessons with him. Travel light down these paths. Thanks again for all of your wonderful support and friendship. Priceless are these to me.

well, that is not good for it to come on the heels of laughter like that. You got across the title very well!!

This time a year, I always remember a classmate who died during a hayride celebrating Halloween. One minute we were all laughing and then the next a boy jumps, slips, falls and the heavy wheels of the hay wagon roll over him. I ran to him and heard the soft bubbling sounds of life leaving him.

Welcome to the soup I see you are new here. I hope you don't mind my advice about haiku but your writing is very good and your short poems are awesome. It takes along time to figure out forms and I am still learning too. love phyl
