Courage

Ask not what is courage, Cliff diver, so eager, Arms open like wings, soar, Ocean splash, whale's grandeur, sans courage, dream no more. Ask not what is courage, Squirrel darts, holes unfold, Eagle soars, eyes keen, brave, Nervous dance, nuts in clasp, Courage triumphs, goals made. Ask not what is courage Ants in line, food they prize, Fear of broom, trample lies, Hard work, courage, tasks lure, Keeps them going, for miles. Ask not what is courage Courage shines, fear deposed, Confidence to goals, scope, Lost courage, undone tasks, Darkness veils cherished hope.

wow, this poem was profound. In my experience, fear erodes my courage. For instance, I lack the courage to sky dive or even ride an elevator to the top of the Empire State Building. I have a fear of heights, a fear based in what I believe is certain death. Rambling here, but your words struck a cord with me. Have a splendid New Year, Sara

Courage to those that have a goal. I would never do the 1st stanza, I'm afraid of height, that last line has a big impact. Happy New Years my friend Hugs eve
