Contemplation For My Soul
CONTEMPLATION FOR MY SOUL
I am contemplating on how I see the world today.
People see what they want to see, mainly focusing
how happy they can be with what money can buy
or what they can steal for they want these material
things so bad, without even thinking who they hurt.
People want to hear what they believed in, whether
they are right or wrong for nothing else would matter.
People want to do what they want to do for power,
ego, status without minding the consequences at all.
While the pandemic rages on, knocking millions of
people, dying or getting severely or mildly sick.
While unrests are causing deaths, displacements,
injuries, disobedience, uncertainties and poverty.
There are self-centered people with complicated lives,
living in denial, make belief, pretense, selfishness.
Pretending everything is fine, throwing pity party
when things do not go their way, acting like children.
Yet, they are the ones judging, complaining, comparing
like nothing is wrong with them or they are perfect.
When life is so simple when totally being honest by
getting to know and accepting your traits and faults.
It pains me greatly how time is a changing right in front
of me; not for the better it seems; but for more mayhem.
It makes me appreciate the ones, who are trying their best
to help and it brings me cheers to see humanity at its best.
I am contemplating on how I can I help as an individual,
what I can contribute for the world to be a better place.
I wish for calmness, peace and harmony and it begins
with me, with you to be kind, reach out and give more love.
I wish you a very Happy New Year!!! A new beginning!!!
