Connie's Poem

I saw her there in heaven And she said the wine was sweet The cherubs brought fresh flowers To lay them at her feet The gardens gay were covered In green and gold and red The bowls filled all with berries And fruit and fresh baked bread So I stepped across eternity And walked up to the gate To ask the sturdy keeper If this too could be my fate He told me not to worry “Your fate lies safe with me” He gave me pens and paper And said poetry is the key So now I wander happily Among the future stars I will meet someday in Heaven Where Connie rules the Czars Written 20221018

ah so sweet. Hope this is the Connie of our lives at Soup. I do miss her so much too. She would really love this tribute.
