Cold Temperature

Looking through the lace glazed window patterns etched due to frosty cold heat failed to keep them clear as temperatures dropped low. I put my fingers on the glass prints became imprinted showing where the warmth had touched the cold pane. I then blew on the pane with one big breath one big circle appeared providing a peeking hole. Extreme cold touch the prairies heat could not keep up a peeking hole was all needed as a storm brewed outside.

Your poem reminded me of Winnie the Pooh and his cold, windy, blustery days, with nothing but a scarf, his teddy bear bottom must have been freezing! I love you have captured so creatively the frost on you window panes and how it reaches the prairies and all that was needed was a peeking hole like the one you blew on your window pane. Lovely write Phyllis. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Thanks for your comment and yes as kids we used to blow a hole in the window to see out when the temperatures dropped low. It has been bitterly cold for long stretches and then we get an odd warm day and then it goes down 30 degrees overnight. Wild weather. lol Hugs phyl

Thanks Connie. Yes the kids love drawing pictures on the frosted windows. It has been a very cold winter and poor kids have been inside more than out. Hopeful for early spring. love phyl

Hello Phillis, so that is where all the snow went. We had a green Christmas this time. It snows here and then it melts. I do not mind at all. Happy New Year. Enjoy your evening my friend.
