Childhood Days

Childhood day's Photo by Alan L Boles Something about purity, And innocence, That enables a special connection Between human life...and plant life, A young girl's love for the forest, Outweighed any fear, Of the unknown, Everyday... Running, swinging and climbing, Was the best.. Branches welcomed, Like the hands of a caring parent, Holding her safe, She was becoming one... With nature's kindergarten, Forest was alive with activity, She listening carefully, Hearing vibrations as they drank Water from the earth, And signalled each other, To keep all danger away, Hearing them chatter, Made her laugh, Laughter... echoed for miles, Fox...followed her lead, Listening Intently To stories, As though he understood, Watching... As she played Adventurous games, Childhood days, Paved the way Into her future, Times...she would never forget, For the rest of her life. Wendy Jae (This is a true fact about trees)

Yes Wendy, those woods existed. Secret bowers beneath the lowest limbs of the douglas fir. The fall smell of the ancient maple's castoffs. A bed of pine needles for a never to be realized sleep-out. Inviting friends to share your discoveries. And the creatures keeping track. Thanks - Ken
