Change
We cry for rain …
when sun beams a merciless even light.
We cry for sun …
when rain falls persistent day and night.
We cry for wind …
when stillness calms the land each day,
We cry for calm …
when the wind blows our soil away.
Seek paradise, eternal life …
we twist, we turn, first back then to the fore.
Boast success, deride failure …
and some return to try again once more
reviving of past practice
castigated once as strange …
Is this all part of being human?
This crying out for change.
