Can I Be Like You
Now, I'm mother of kids; remembering
how nicely my Dad used to protect me
throughout childhood; a rare type of person
tryout always to make me feel to be
free, self-reliant. For me had all time,
agreed to listen all my childish talks.
Never thought he took anything granted;
wherever needed, explained to me with
compassion, understanding and kindness.
Reaction in mild way to make me feel,
realize what should have been the best way.
Wise but simple words thoughtful gesture, gifts
made me feel always appreciated.
Afraid, can I be like you to my kids?
